rebuild Uri Buri

On May 12th, the world lost one of the most iconic, heart-warming and inspiring places in the Mediterranean - Uri Buri in Akko, Israel.

After having weathered the pandemic, famed chef Uri Buri’s seafood restaurant on the waterfront of the old city was burned down along with his Hotel Efendi.

We - Vivi D'Angelo and Matthias F. Mangold - worked closely with Uri Buri, who is not only an incredible chef, but also a living symbol of peace and unity. When we wrote and shot the photos for his cookbook, we spent plenty of time together and got to know him as a dear friend. That is why we want to support him in the rebuilding of his restaurant and hotel. A selection of images from his cookbook "Uri Buri - meine Küche" will be produced and sold as a limited edition of fine art prints. All revenue will be donated to Uri Buri, in order to support the rebuilding of his restaurant and hotel.

You can order your print by June 5th, by sending an email to, specifying your chosen print number as well as the address where you want us to ship it. An automatic reply will guide you to a PayPal address. This is the only possible payment, sorry, we don't do this on a professional basis, we just want to help out a friend!

The prints will be shipped after June 5th.
