nordic curanto: the big fat earth oven bbq.

One sunny day in July, chef, cookbook author and food journalist Stevan Paul and barbecue master Tom Heinzle and a bunch of other food enthusiasts decided to dig a few big holes in the ground to test whether an earth oven (as it is often done in South America) could also work in Northern Germany. It did pretty well, resulting in a big, day-filling feast for friends and family as well as a beautiful feature for the German magazine Effilee
